Snippets of Me

Being a new blogger is kind of weird, because I have so much to say, but little idea of where to begin. I did a little introduction post, but I’ll give you a bigger window into my life this time, with snippets and pictures! 🙂

I’m a wife to my lovely husband, Benjamin! He is a dashing law student with plenty of Southern charm! I can’t complain about thee Weasley hair either! 😉 We met in college at the library computer lab and are coming up on our 2 year wedding anniversary! #Rosefam

We are both major Harry Potter nerds, so it’s good that Ron and Hermione Halloween costumes go well with our looks!

The best part of being Hermione is not having to style the frizz-bomb on my head! 😉

We have a baby! Meet Bounce the Sheltie! He is our world!

We thought the hat was a nice touch!

You can’t say no to that face!

I have a super goofy side! My students think I’m crazy, and I love it!!!

How YOU doin?

I am originally from Sarasota, Florida, but I’ve lived in Oklahoma City for 6 years. I actually moved there to study dance at OCU’s famous program, but decided I liked teaching a lot better, so here I am as a special education teacher!

I am also working on my first Master’s degree in Bilingual Education! People are surprised when they hear I’m PhD bound, because I’m so bubbly! In the classroom, I call my brain my secret weapon, but I’ll share my secret with all y’all! 😉

My Bachelor’s graduation! (Of course I wore pink high heels!!) In May, you’ll see my Master’s pictures! 🙂

You will see many types of posts on here, since this is a blog about my lifestyle! I can assure you, though, that they will all be filled with class and sass!

Why not wear a princess skirt on a Saturday afternoon?

Thanks for reading! See you next time! 🙂

Welcome to Glitter and Grades!

Hello, y’all! Welcome to my first blog post! I am starting this blog as a bit of a fresh start. I tried blogging on another domain, but I didn’t really take it anywhere, and it grew stagnant. I guess I wrongly believed that nobody really wanted to hear what I had to say. My confidence has grown since then, both as a writer and a person. My husband has always believed in my blogging capabilities, and he loves it when I write, as do I. So, here I am!

Glitter and Grades is a blog about the lifestyle of a teacher, graduate student, wife, and dog mommy. Do not expect all of my posts to be lesson plans or teacher tips, because I like to write about my ENTIRE life, even the one my students don’t see every day. There will be teacher goodies, grad school hacks, recipes, fashion posts, beauty tips, and restaurant reviews, just to name a few. I am blessed to live a diverse and eclectic life, and this blog will reflect that. “They” say to stick with a more streamlined topic for a successful blog, but that is just not who I am! #ENFPprobs

So thank you for taking the time to read my introductory post! I hope to meet many other awesome bloggers through this experience, and to learn a little more about life. I am not giving up this time, so this is a just a glimpse of what y’all will see on this website! I’m so excited to get started and to meet you!
